BYU
On the first day of fall camp the coaches stated that RB LJ Martin (shoulder) is likely to miss the first 3-4 games of the season and was being held out of full participation. On day two Martin told the media the complete opposite, that he is a full participant and he will be available for the season opener. The shoulder injury in question was something that held him out of games in the 2023 season.
CLEMSON
RB Keith Adams (undisclosed) participated in non-contact drills only to start fall camp. He is in a battle with Jamarius Haynes for the RB2 position.
EAST CAROLINA
RB Marlon Gunn was seen with his leg wrapped in a bandage and sat out time from practice. He is projected to be the third-string running back.
FLORIDA
RB Montrell Johnson suffered a knee injury during practice and had a routine scope procedure done. His status is week to week as the team says he will not miss extended time.
RB Cam Carroll (undisclosed) did not participate in practice at the start of fall camp.
WR Elijah Badger has been making progress picking up the new playbook and showing his work ethic in fall camp. Head coach Billy Napier stated that Badger still has work to do to earn a starting spot on the offense.

WR Rara Thomas is no longer a member of the football team, following what initially was a suspension for legal issues.
RB Trevor Etienne has had his DUI charges dropped after signing a plea deal.
HOUSTON
WR Joseph Manjack left Wednesday’s practice early before missing all of Thursday’s practice while no reason was provided.
LOUISVILLE
WR Ja'Corey Brooks was the primary target for QB Tyler Shough in the team’s first 11-on-11 session.
WR Jimmy Calloway (undisclosed) has had limited participation in fall camp and been seen working off to the side with trainers during position drills.
The first signs of how the running back competition is developing were seen with Maurice Turner being the first back getting reps with the first-string offense. He will have a tough battle Donald Chaney Jr. to see who becomes the starter.
LSU
RB John Emery (knee) showed he is back to health and looked good at the start of fall camp. He still appears to be running third-string in a crowded Tigers backfield.
MISSISSIPPI
WR Deion Smith has been academically cleared to play this season for the Rebels. Smith was a JUCO star in 2023 and is a name to monitor as camp progresses.
The Rebels signed former Utah State WR Micah Davis out of the transfer portal. It will be hard for Davis to get snaps as an outside receiver playing behind Tre Harris and Antwane Wells Jr. but Davis might see the field as a return specialist.
NEBRASKA
WR Demitrius Bell injured his knee in the spring game and now looks to miss the entire 2024 season.
RB Gabe Ervin has stood out from the rest of the running backs so far in fall camp with his “angry” running style.
NOTRE DAME
WR Jayden Thomas appears to not only be healthy at the start of fall camp, but he was catching the eyes of the media for how good he looked.
RB Jeremiyah Love also has one play described as a “wow” play.
OKLAHOMA
WR Andrel Anthony (leg) is still not fully clear to participate in practice but he has been seen running and making improvement.
It was expected that WR Jalil Farooq (foot) was still going to be rehabbing his injury at the start of fall camp but head coach Brent Venables stated that Farooq is participating in practices without any limitations.
VIRGINIA TECH
TE Nick Gallo (knee) is not back to full health as the Hokies opened fall camp. He was a non-participant with a sleeve on his knee.

USC
TE Lake McRee (knee) was back at practice running routes but was wearing a brace on his knee.
WASHINGTON STATE
WR Josh Meredith enters fall camp as one of the two starting slot receivers for the Cougars. Tony Freeman and Kris Hutson are battling for the other slot position with Freeman entering camp as first-string.
The quarterback competition between John Mateer and Zevi Eckhaus hasn’t had much to read from. Mateer has been more consistent with throws, but he hasn’t tested the defense deep much. Eckhaus has pushed the ball deep more leading to more inconsistency in connecting on those bombs.
