ALABAMA
RB Justice Haynes has received the bulk of reps with the first-team offense as he competes with Jam Miller for the starting RB position.
ARIZONA
WR Tetairoa McMillan (leg) continues to work his way back into fall camp. He is now participating in all practice drills but with a non-contact jersey on.
WR Jeremiah Patterson has taken fall camp by storm. He was a JUCO star before coming to Arizona and now looks to be the starting punt returner, and is on track to become the starting slot WR.
ARIZONA STATE
WR Jordyn Tyson was spotted in a walking boot over the weekend but his injury doesn’t appear to be serious.
BALL STATE
QB Kadin Semonza has secured the starting QB job with offensive coordinator Jared Elliott stating that Semonza carries himself at a high level every day.
RB Braedon Sloan is the favorite to be the starting RB and he has been earning high praise in fall camp. The Eastern Kentucky transfer has been versatile running the ball as well as catching the ball out of the backfield.
BYU
QBs Jake Retzlaff and Gerry Bohanon are splitting first team reps as they compete to see who will be this season’s starting QB.
CLEMSON
RB Keith Adams was previously in a non-contact jersey but participated in last weekend’s scrimmage scoring a touchdown.
WR TJ Moore is turning heads in his freshman debut of fall camp.
EAST CAROLINA
RB Rahjai Harris has been cleared for contact and been observed as a full participant in fall camp.
FLORIDA
RB Cam Carroll (leg) continues to progress in camp and was seen suited up for position drills during last week’s scrimmage.
WR Elijah Badger continues to impress during fall camp. Head coach Billy Napier commented on Badger’s physical skills and abilities along with his strong work ethic.
FLORIDA ATLANTIC
QB Cam Fancher is currently in the lead for the QB battle with Tyriq Starks. Head coach Tom Sherman has stated that he will continue to evaluate both players over the next couple of weeks.
FLORIDA STATE
TE Kyle Morlock has had a good showing in fall camp thus far with head coach Mike Norvell saying he’s becoming a “complete tight end.”
ILLINOIS
TE Cole Rusk suffered a season-ending knee injury. The Eastern Michigan transfer was the expected starter.
IOWA
QBs Cade McNamara and Brendan Sullivan continue to battle for the starting QB job. No QB has done anything to stand out and despite the new offensive system it appears the QB stats coming out fall camp are almost as bad as last year’s QB numbers.
RB Leshon Williams suffered an undisclosed soft tissue injury and will miss time in fall camp. His injury is being described as not long-term but the missed reps will hurt his chances to earn the RB1 position.
WR Kaleb Brown has missed practice time due to an undisclosed soft tissue injury and he’s not expected to miss extended time.
KANSAS STATE
WR Keagan Johnson has been building a rapport with QB Avery Johnson. Johnson was quoted saying, “If I see him in single coverage, I’m going to him.”
KENTUCKY
RB Chip Trayanum has not been able to separate himself from the rest of the RB room and based on comments made by head coach Mark Stoops things are trending toward a committee backfield approach for this season.
TE Josh Kattus missed several practices and no specifics have been provided for the reason.
LOUISVILLE
WR Jimmy Calloway has started limited participation in walkthroughs and special team drills.
LSU
RB John Emery is making a serious push for carries in what is becoming a crowded Tigers backfield. Co-offensive coordinator Joe Sloan stated that Emery has a chance to get the most touches in the season opener.
WR Chris Hilton continues to shine in fall camp using his speed to consistently beat cornerbacks.
WR Zavion Thomas has been dealing with a leg issue which has caused him to miss some practice time. He did return to play and his hamstring injury isn’t being considered serious.
NEBRASKA
QB Dylan Raiola has been building a lead in the QB competition and now looks to be favored to be named the starter.
NEVADA
QB Chubba Purdy missed last weekend’s scrimmage due to a minor shoulder injury. Its unclear if the injured shoulder is his throwing shoulder or not. He is battling Brendon Lewis for the starting QB job and can’t afford to miss opportunities to shine on the field.
NORTH CAROLINA STATE
WR Noah Rogers has been having a strong fall camp, with the coaching staff looking to feature him as the top outside WR in the offense.
NORTH TEXAS
RB Ikaika Ragsdale (lower body) has been a full participant in fall camp and taking the majority of reps with the first-string offense.
NOTRE DAME
QB Riley Leonard (ankle) has been seen running and cutting well throughout fall camp.
OHIO STATE
RBs Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson are expected to split the workload to start the season.
SAM HOUSTON STATE
WR Qua’Vez Hemphreys (foot) has been participating in practices and looking impressive while making difficult catches.
SAN DIEGO STATE
QBs AJ Duffy and Danny O’Neil have been sharing the first team reps which was expected for the start of fall camp. O’Neil was described as “making all the throws” while Duffy was described as “leaving something to be desired” with his throwing ability.
TEs Michael Harrison and Jude Wolfe continue to share first team reps. Harrison’s athleticism stands out in practice, being described as looking like a WR playing TE.
SMU
QB Preston Stone is back to full health and looks very strong in the early portion of fall camp.
SOUTH ALABAMA
QB Gio Lopez sat out the most recent scrimmage due to disciplinary reasons. This is two scrimmages in a row Lopez has missed.
QB Bishop Davenport went 13/20 for 228 yards and 2 TDs in the weekend’s scrimmage.
WR Jamaal Pritchett had 5 receptions for 142 yards and 2 TDs in the weekend’s scrimmage.
TEXAS
RB Cedric Baxter torn his knee and will miss the entire 2024 season.
TEXAS A&M
RB Rueben Owens suffered a lower body injury in last weekend’s scrimmage and will miss the entire 2024 season
TEXAS TECH
WRs Josh Kelly, Caleb Douglas, and Coy Eakin were described by head coach Joey McGuire as, “…absolutely incredible, at different times, dominant.” It appears that Douglas and Eakin may be solidifying their starting roles on the outside and leaving star freshman Micah Hudson out of contention for a starting job.
RB Cameron Dickey has been impressive in fall camp. The freshman is making a serious push to be the RB2 behind starter Tahj Brooks.
UAB
RB Isaiah Jacobs (knee) is practicing and competing with Lee Beebe for the starting RB role.
UCLA
QB Ethan Garbers was officially announced as the starting QB.
VIRGINIA
QB Anthony Colandrea was seen practicing with a brace and tape on his knee, and details about the injury are unknown.
WR Chris Tyree spent time in a walking boot last week. He eventually lost the boot but was seen with a yellow “limited” jersey in practice and the coaches think the injury won’t be long term.
WASHINGTON
WR Giles Jackson has been an extremely reliable target through fall camp and looks to be locking down the slot WR position with his crisp route running.
WASHINGTON STATE
QB John Mateer has created a little distance from Zevi Eckhaus after the first team scrimmage of fall camp by not turning the ball over on 19 pass attempts. The two QBs will have one more scrimmage to prove themselves before a starter is announced.
WR Carlos Hernandez suffered a foot injury which required surgery and will keep him out of action for a significant period of time.
WR Kris Hutson has moved to the outside in the wake of the Carlos Hernandez injury and will compete with Kyle Maxwell for the starting job.
WISCONSIN
RB Tawee Walker has had a strong camp and is currently making a push to take over the starting RB job.
