College Fantasy Football championships are won and lost on the waiver wire. You don’t want to chase a “fool’s gold” player, so instead focus on guys that will hold their fantasy value week after week. Purple Reign has identified the players you need to target on this week’s waiver wire to ensure that “Your CFF Reign Starts Here.”
This week I have some more bonus Waiver Wire content for you. Below is this week’s episode of CFF Lists Waiver Wire Draft. Their season competition is now in the playoffs and I am battling to make the finals. You can watch the episode below and click the link to view all the great content they provide on their YouTube Channel.
QUARTERBACKS:
Sawyer Robertson (Bayl)
Fantrax Ownership 22%
Fantasy Scoring Over Last 3 Weeks: 34.85 PPG
This is the fifth straight week I’ve been singing the praises of Robertson here in the Waiver Wire Target articles and surprisingly his ownership rate is still sitting below 30%. He is scoring at least 25+ fantasy points over his last five games and four of those games have had 3+ passing TDs. He does provide minimal rushing production but not enough to think of him as a true dual-threat QB. TCU is the toughest fantasy match-up left on the schedule and he has two nice match-ups during the playoffs with West Virginia and Kansas.
Next three weeks opponent (pass def rank): TCU (43), BYE, WVU (123)
Colton Joseph (OD)
Fantrax Ownership 9%
Fantasy Scoring Over Last 3 Weeks: 32.85 PPG
Starting QB Grant Wilson has missed time with an undisclosed injury and freshman Joseph has stepped in and showed what he can do. He has four games under his belt and has shown he is more of a running threat than a pocket passer which is good for a freshman to make plays and void throwing too many INTs (he did show off his arm in Week 9 with 300+ passing yards). Its too early to tell if he’ll hold onto the starting job once Wilson returns but this week has a game you could start him right away in your fantasy line-ups.
Next three weeks opponent (pass def rank): App (110), BYE, JMU (28)
