On August 26, 2024 the College Fantasy Football community established an elite competition for the top percent of CFF analysts. It's purpose was to refine the art of preseason player projections and to ensure the men who competed were the best CFF projection makers in the world.
They succeeded.
Today, it's referred to as Projections Weapons School. The analysts call it:

The CFF Top Gun Challenge brings together some of the top names in the CFF industry. Only one website will be able to claim to be the best of the best at preseason player projections for the 2024 season.

Who Is The Best of The Best?
The CFF Top Gun Challenge is a systematic review of the top College Fantasy Football players from the 2024 season. A comparison of each website's projections to the actual fantasy point totals will be made to evaluate how “on target” those projections were. The website with the most Competition Points will be named the 2024 CFF Top Gun Challenge champion.
Website Entry Requirements
Must provide player statistics in preseason projections
Must provide at least 360 players in preseason projections
The Review Process
Scoring System:
0.05 points Passing Yards
4 points Passing TDs
-2 points INTs
0.1 Rushing/Receiving Yards
6 points Rushing/Receiving TDs
0.5 points Receptions
Positions Reviewed:
Top 40 Quarterbacks
Top 60 Running Backs
Top 60 Wide Receivers
Top 20 Tight Ends
Projection Comparison
The difference between a player's fantasy point total and a website's projection will be calculated.
If a player did not receive a projection from a website, no difference will be calculated
The differential in fantasy points for all players reviewed will be added together then divided by the amount of players reviewed to come up with a differential average.
The most accurate projection will have the lowest differential amount.
All websites will be ranked based on the lowest fantasy point differential per position group.
CFF Top Gun Challenge Scoring:
6 Points - 1st Place Finish In A Position Group
3 Points - 2nd Place Finish In A Position Group
1 Point - 3rd Place Finish In A Position Group
